We're here for our second stay, and it's been just as good as last time. The food is excellent, and I especially like the chickens and the open fire. It's nicely located and makes an easy central base for South Devon.

The people were nice, but I don't think these good reviews tell the whole story. The rooms are run down, with 1970s furniture and bathroom tiles lifting off. I'm not willing to subsidise a badly run business.
It's sad that Sampsons farm is now only open to people staying there, but it's still privately beautiful. Such a charming old cottage, with lovely chickens, ducks and more roaming around the outbuilding.
The public footpath is absolutely filthy. Sampsons Farm is no longer a restaurant, and most of the new properties are empty. Some have bad review notices in the windows.
Cheap, cheerful and excellent. We had the most enjoyable stay ever, and will definitely come again and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you!
