Premier Inn Newton Abbot

I travel around for work and stay in lots of hotels, but the Newton Abbot one is my favourite. As a woman travelling alone for work, I felt very welcome. Lewis the Manager is the MOST helpful person, and a great front of house. I've watched him do a great job with the staff. He should be proud to work at Premier Inn. Scott is also amazing, understanding and really good at looking after people at the bar and in the restaurant.

The restaurant had a lovely feel, and all my meals were tasty and good value. The Newton Abbot Premier also has a great view over the racecourse and is handy when working in the area. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful, and looked after me well. My room was clean and comfortable, so I could properly relax after a busy day.

This was our second stay, and I'd still recommend this Premier Inn for its service and location. The beds are really comfortable, there's a good restaurant, and facilities are close by. We had a good two days visiting family. Housekeeping let the stay down, though. The room wasn't properly clean, with dusty lamps and furniture, plus mould in the bathroom and a dirty floor. Such a shame, as I would have given all five stars otherwise.

The rooms were much bigger than I expected, and I had the best night's sleep. The mattresses are hard to fault. The air con seemed to have a mind of its own and didn't push out cold air. Main meals were a bit pricey. I had an issue with the toilet, but the staff were right there to sort it out. If I'm in the area again, I'd probably stay here.
