There’s a bar at the front, a snug at the back, and a nice little garden out back. The new landlord and lady poured an excellent pint of Butty Bach. A friendly, homely traditional local pub.

A bunch of us had a brilliant afternoon at Oaktoberfest and sampled quite a few ales 🤪 We had to catch the last bus back to Dodd, so sadly missed the band. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Those chips were fantastic, and I can’t remember the last time I had ribs this good. The food was lovely, clearly homemade, and not too salty.

We loved staying at this characterful pub. We’d walked Offas Dyke all day and arrived at 10.30pm, but the amazing bar lady still made us a ham sandwich before bed. What a hero! The whole team was extremely friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast was fantastic, and the locals at the pub gave me a wonderful welcome. Sue the landlady and the staff were so welcoming too. Lovely nettle the pub dog gave me plenty of cuddles, and other dogs are welcome as well. This was one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I’ll always stay here when I’m in the area.
