McInnes House rooms with breakfast

We weren't staying at the hotel, just came in for dinner, but the steak pie and rhubarb sponge cake were both delicious. The young service staff gave excellent, attentive service. The decor and dining space were charming, and we hope to come back in a couple of days.

Peter and the front of house team made dinner feel relaxed and attentive, without pushing extras. Peter seemed to glide around like an elegant swan, busy underneath as he kept the service running smoothly and checked on guests. We were charmed by his personality and hospitality. The food was lovely, too. We spent two nights in room 1, the family room, and found the beds clean and comfortable. There was plenty of tea, coffee, water and biscuits, and the en-suite was fresh and clean. Liz greeted us warmly and made it clear right away that our comfort and enjoyment mattered to her. She was the star of the place for me, giving her heart and soul from our arrival until we left. I'm grateful for our conversations. The food was first class, with no complaints from us, and we'll definitely be back. We loved our two-night break. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, with the usual tea and coffee facilities, and the beds were clean and comfortable too. Staff were very polite and courteous, and the owners were friendly and professional.

We liked dinner here so much that we came back for a second night. We didn't stay in the hotel, so I can't comment on the rooms. Peter and the rest of the staff were lovely, the servings were generous, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. A real gem!
