Stattons Hotel & Restaurant

The staff were wonderful, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was great. Parking can be awkward, so I wouldn't bring an SUV. I'd happily stay again.

We only stayed one night, so didn't make full use of the facilities, but the breakfast was very good. A refill of hot drinks might've been helpful for washing the food down. The room decor was absolutely lovely, and I liked that my car was safely parked off the road.

The room was down a flight of stairs, spacious, and had a roomy shower bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and powerful, and the WiFi excellent. Check-in was quick and they gave us all the information we needed. It's close to both the beach and town, so I'd stay again and recommend it. I was driving around looking for the Stations Hotel before realizing it's part of a small chain. You check in at the garden restaurant, then cross the road to a different building for your room. Parking for that building costs extra, or they'll give you a permit if you can find a street space. By then I'd already paid to park along the promenade, a few minutes away. Breakfast wasn't included, though you could add it. I don't know the price. The garden restaurant looked good, but I wasn't keen on pizza. The pub was also having a makeover and wasn't serving food, which seemed badly timed for summer. Surely winter would've been better?

We only stayed one night because we were flying the next day, but it felt so relaxing that I wish we'd had a couple more nights. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the room was very clean, spacious, and nicely presented with a personal feel. We were there for our wedding night and would recommend the place to anyone. Breakfast was lovely. I marked the facilities as good because we didn't stay long enough to check everything out. Free parking was one reason I chose it.
