This is a nice, basic b&b with very pleasant owners. Our room was fairly spacious, clean and tidy, and breakfast was simple but nice. We enjoyed the stay, though it felt a little expensive for what it was, perhaps because it was a bank holiday weekend. We hadn't realised it was only a b&b and not a pub, so we expected to arrive in the evening, check in and have a drink and a meal. We got there after 6pm and the owner had gone home. Thankfully, after we rang the doorbell, we managed to get him to come back and let us in. Thank goodness, and thanks to him for doing that.

Guests can use the downstairs dining room whenever they like, and breakfast is generous. The hosts are friendly and know their stuff. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and pleasant. The Red Lion is a wonderful place to stay, highly recommended.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and they made a fuss of us and our two dogs. Breakfast was great too. A great bnb in a gorgeous little town!

We were walking the Offa’s Dyke path and had a great stay at the Red Lion. Tim was really helpful, the beds were comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

We spent three fantastic nights at the Red Lion Knighton. The countryside is stunning, and the place was very dog friendly. The rooms were very good, the food was great and the hosting excellent. We'll definitely be back.
