The farm animals, especially the cows, horse and sheep, made the stay even better. The cottage was lovely and well equipped, and our host was attentive and made us all feel welcome. It was peaceful at the property, with plenty to see and do nearby. My whole family had a great time. Highly recommend.

We loved the quiet setting and the stunning views at the Hayloft in Lanark. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Seeing the cows, sheep and a horse on the farm was a lovely extra. Barbara, the landlady, was a huge help with the reservation, suggesting places to eat and things to see locally. She even helped us find accommodation for friends coming to visit over the weekend. It's also well placed for exploring between Glasgow and Edinburgh, both under an hour away by car. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the Hayloft for a visit to this beautiful part of Scotland.

The owner is very friendly and close by if you need advice or a hand. The cottage was spotless, comfortable and in great condition, with stable Wi-Fi, though don't expect fibre speeds. It has plenty of room for four and lovely views. Glasgow and Edinburgh are both about 30 miles (48 km) away. There's a double bed in one bedroom and two single beds in the other, and all three beds were very good. The bathroom has a bath, shower and toilet, with another toilet as well. There's a large living room and a well equipped kitchen with a cooker and oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.
