The village was lovely, and so was the location. After two nights camping, a night in a B&B was amazing. My room was clean and lovely, the bed incredibly comfy, and the host was super friendly. I slept through breakfast because that bed was so good, but I’d definitely return!

I ate here the night before the 3 Peaks and would certainly dine here again. The chicken starter and pork main were amazing, and the meat melted in my mouth. The potatoes with the pork were delicious too. There were vegetables on the side that looked very good, though I didn’t get to them after diving into the main. I can’t comment on the desserts, but they all sounded very nice. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.

I’ve stayed at the Brookhouse for the same weekend, the 3 Peaks CX event, for the past 4 or 5 years. It’s handy for the A65, while the setting itself is quiet and serene. The village is lovely, with a village shop nearby. Alan cooks a great breakfast to order.

Alan’s a great chef and a lovely host. The food was absolutely fantastic, possibly the best meal we’ve ever had. Don’t miss it. We’ll definitely be back as soon as we can. Thank you, Alan.

We booked a weekend in April 2019 for our anniversary at the end of September that year. Making the booking was hard work because no one ever answered the phone. We were really looking forward to it, then on Monday, three weeks before we were due to go, we got a text cancelling the booking because they had overbooked. There was no apology or offer of other dates. I tried calling several times to discuss it but got no call back. Poor, rude service. I wouldn’t recommend booking this place. It ruined our anniversary weekend.
