Sun St Retreats

We only stayed one night on 7 May 2026, on the way to somewhere else, and Lancaster Castle was just around the corner. Tom and Kim sorted out a Booking.com problem when my reservation was cancelled after I updated my card. They helped me book again without any trouble, so next time I’ll book directly. Getting in was easy, with the key waiting in the safe, and we paid £20 to park in the gated lot right beside the apartment. The old building has been renovated with a lot of care, keeping its historic feel while making it comfortable today. Inside, it’s a lovely little maze of rooms, bright, warm and spotless. There were fluffy white towels, nice bathroom soaps, soft toilet paper, and really good beds, all the small luxuries that are often missing elsewhere. It was great to have those thoughtful touches. We didn’t need to cook, but the apartment had all the usual facilities, and the coffee pods were a lovely extra. We had an easy, pleasant stay, enjoyed Lancaster, and would recommend the apartments. Next time we’ll stay longer.
