We stayed one night in our motorhome and really enjoyed it. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the owner came over for a chat. She and her daughter are lovely. The bar was great, and it got busy later, so we joined the quiz, which was good fun. There was a varied menu with good choices, the food was really nice, and the service was good. It's a lovely hotel and very dog friendly.

After being let down elsewhere at short notice, we held my Mum's 70th in the function room this weekend and couldn't have asked for kinder, more fantastic service. The venue was beautifully decorated and the staff were so caring. Tracy made the day easy after a really stressful time. Thank you all so much xxx

The atmosphere was nice for the meal we planned with my family, though the food was only average. Some of us got the wrong orders, a few items were missing, and service was slower than at other places. We know it was a bank holiday and the pub may have been busy all day, which could have put the team under pressure.

We'd been local but hadn't returned after one bad meal. My daughter booked for eleven of us on 21 September 2025, and this time we all enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and attentive service from both the bar and restaurant staff. The food was exceptional, and Poppy and Ruby gave us second to none service. Although we'd sent in an order beforehand, one meal was ordered on the day and everything still came out together. Thanks to everyone for a beautiful meal.

For the price, our Mother's Day meal was a letdown. I ordered roast turkey with all the trimmings, but there were no roast potatoes or cranberry sauce as listed on the menu, and barely any gravy. The vegetables were only just hot, and there was no serving spoon. It took three minutes to get someone's attention. They went to tell the chef, then came back with roast potatoes so burnt and hard I couldn't cut them, plus a completely burnt stuffing ball. My son's fish and chips, though, looked amazing.
