It costs a bit more than some places, but the food and the whole experience made it worthwhile. My friend and I had a wonderful visit to Quite Simply French. Every course was full of flavour, beautifully presented and cooked just right, with some excellent options on the menu. The team were attentive and accommodating without hovering, and were happy to help with anything. I’d recommend it for a special meal.

First time there with friends yesterday, and we had a wonderful afternoon. The food was amazing, the staff friendly, and the place beautiful. Everything felt just right from walking in until we left. Thank you for making it so lovely. I’ll be back.

The breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. I stayed one night and was given a very warm welcome. The room was cosy, set up in a really modern way and had everything I needed for a good night. I did struggle with the fancy light switch and room thermostat though, I’m too old for those things.

That Valentine’s Day dinner was a huge disappointment, and I won’t return. The menu listed a £65 set menu, with the sharing steak marked as an extra £20, so I expected to pay £85. Instead, we were charged £150 for the steak. Only after leaving did we realise they’d added service to the steak and then charged service again on the final bill. The hidden costs came to nearly £100 extra. I’ve never heard of service being charged on each dish and then again on the whole bill. The pricing was confusing, misleading and absurd.

We travelled from Preston, seven of us in all, for dinner on Saturday 20 December 2025. The food was outstanding, and the staff were lovely, attentive and prompt throughout. Prices have gone up since our visit last year, but with the taxes this Government is putting on places like this, they need support if they’re to survive. It’s one of our favourite restaurants ever.
