A really good stop on our journey. We had a proper old-fashioned cream tea, with fruit scones, raspberry jam, and thick cream.

The food was excellent at our New Year's Day lunch, though the service was very slow. Apart from that, we'd highly recommend it.

We stopped in on a Sunday early evening while passing through Langholm and were glad they could seat us for a meal without a reservation. The dining room and bar are small, but comfortable, with enough room for a few small groups like ours. The menu had a reasonable range, including locally sourced produce. We enjoyed a starter and main course. Service was pleasant and attentive without hovering, and the food came promptly. We didn't feel rushed while choosing or eating. A very enjoyable visit. The Eskdale Hotel is centrally placed on Langholm's main road, with parking nearby.

Spent a happy morning by the fire, with great coffee and friendly staff. Great hotel.

I only ate dinner there. The service was great, and the food was okay.
