The White Hart at Dartington Hall was a lovely setting for our DWIB Networking Brunch. Surrounded by gardens and striking historic buildings, it's beautiful and easy to get to from any direction. Dorothy Elmhirst's legacy gives the estate a special sense of history. The team made us feel welcome and relaxed, and the service was excellent throughout. They were accommodating at every stage of the event. It's a wonderful place for a meeting or gathering, especially if you enjoy a mix of history, hospitality and lovely surroundings. Highly recommended. 💖

We spent a family weekend here just before Christmas, timed with the Christmas Makers Fayre, which was lovely to wander around for gift ideas. The building is full of history and sits in beautiful grounds, and our en suite room was comfortable. I also love that there's a cinema in the barn.

The view straight onto the courtyard from my window was the standout for me, and the pub on site was only a short walk away. The room was quite basic but had what we needed, with comfortable beds and a really good shower. It was on the expensive side, but we had a good time.

I arrived excited about my wedding and left feeling embarrassed and disappointed. The hotel rooms were freezing, and the room felt really dated, like a Victorian child might sleep there. The organisers tried their best to arrange the event, but seemed out of their depth. The organiser with black hair wasn't very professional. The one good thing was Euan, the pub manager.

For what we paid for one night, it didn't feel like good value. The room itself was tiny and very basic, though clean, and the building smelled a little damp and musty. Finding the accommodation was a struggle because the signs around the site weren't obvious. We asked two people walking along the road where the hotel was before we eventually got there. Check-in was closed, so two staff members nearby sent us to the White Hart bar, where we were given an envelope with the room key. We then had to hunt around again to find the entrance to the rooms. We found the breakfast the next morning in the White Hart bar too, but no one had told us about it. No staff approached us during our stay.
