The Blackbirds

We booked one night after an event at the Showground, since it wasn't too far away, and were delighted with the place. Everything we needed was there. The accommodation was clean, nicely decorated and relaxing, and the little garden area is so cute. Breakfast was generous and well cooked. We'll book again next time we're in the area.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the place had a very welcoming, easygoing feel. My room was spacious and very clean, with air-conditioning that heated it nicely during our October stay. There were facilities for making tea, coffee and hot chocolate, plus biscuits, and the bathroom had a great walk-in shower. Breakfast was filling and very good, with plenty of choice, including vegetarian options and locally sourced produce. I'll definitely stay here again.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was a gastronomic delight. The rooms were spotless, and the towels were so soft and fluffy. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.

Traffic from the busy main road, just a few metres from the bedroom window, made it impossible to sleep. The room was fairly clean and otherwise good, though the bathroom was a bit grimy around the edges. The bed was hard and firm, and the room was cold, with cold coming through the carpet from the floor. There was a heater I could have left on all night, but I didn't. The hosts were nice, and breakfast was good.
