At Wheatley Farm, you arrive as a guest and leave feeling like family. We were welcomed with a Cornish Creme Tea, a lovely touch, and the service was amazing from start to finish. Each morning’s breakfast used fresh, locally sourced products and kept us full for the day. The rooms are finished to a very high standard, with Cornish countryside views that are stunning. Great value too, and well suited to singles, couples and families.

Valery, the hostess, is brilliant, and the cream tea on arrival was a lovely welcome. She also shared plenty of useful local tips for finding things to do. The whole place, including our room, was spotlessly clean. The cooked breakfast was faultless. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s perfectly adequate and the temperature was just right. The sauna needs to be booked, so I haven’t tried it yet. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and even the local country lanes weren’t too terrifying!

Clean, welcoming and in a lovely location, it’s an ideal base for visiting Cornwall and Devon. We’ll be back.

We stayed with the family in Bedford Cottage last year and loved it so much that we’re going back this year.
