Premier Inn Leeds City Centre - Leeds Arena

A decent hotel right in the city centre, with plenty of places nearby. Spoons and Pizza Express are about five minutes across the road. It’s an easy enough walk into town, though the way back is harder. That shouldn’t be a problem if you don’t have mobility issues.

We booked a night after seeing comedy at the arena, which is right across the road. Trinity shopping centre is about a ten-minute walk away. Our Premier Plus room was clean and nicely presented, with a big comfortable bed, two comfy chairs and a huge bathroom. The walk-in shower and toilet had funky purple lights. There was also a coffee machine, a fridge for keeping drinks cool, and blackout curtains that kept the light out nicely. There were plenty of plug sockets and USB-A ports around the hotel and on both sides of the bed. We had a good night’s stay. The restaurant was being refurbished while we were there, so I’m not sure whether breakfast was available.

The room felt quite spacious and was spotless, as was the bathroom. The tub was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. There wasn’t much shelf or hanging space for clothes. It was a little cold in the room, though it was late December.

Premier Inn delivered what I expect: clean, consistent and affordable. I tried a premium room on Floor 8 for the first time, and the extra £10 felt worthwhile for the additional space and a decent coffee from the machine. The hotel’s next door to a Subway, handy when we were getting out of a taxi. The staff were great too. Thanks for making our weekend so good.
