The room was clean, had everything I needed, and the location was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly, but I didn't find the place restful. When people walked around upstairs, it sounded like they might come straight through the ceiling. The room had no chair either, so the sponge bed was my only place to sit. I was meant to stay three nights but left early. The bed and mattress were easily the most uncomfortable I've ever encountered. The frame was like Army surplus and the mattress reminded me of Spanish hotels from 1975. They offered another bed for the third night, but I didn't want to risk a third bad sleep. For £65, sleeping on what felt like a bed of torture was too much. I think it's a converted barn.

A great pub in Sherburn-in-Elmet, with good bars and especially good Guinness. Friendly spot for Steak Night on Thursdays or a Sunday Roast.

I was made to feel welcome here. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and there's a lovely beer garden where dogs are welcome. It's a lovely place to stay, and being here has helped me feel real again. Thank you.

I stayed two nights on a business trip. The location is well outside the city, and most of the connections are small farm roads, which made driving harder. The building and rooms have an old style, and the rooms were pretty average. It's not an active hotel, but it wasn't too bad.

Really good local inn, with nicely finished B&B rooms. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent, and the pint was spot on.
