We had a really comfortable weekend at the Gorse Horse. The house had everything we needed, and the host was very accommodating. We'd definitely stay here again.

The patio and tidy garden are lovely, and the hotel has a calm feel in a quiet neighbourhood. I really liked the atmosphere and the rooms. The main drawback is the bathroom setup: with four rooms, having three share a single bathroom is inconvenient. It also gets uncomfortably sunny and hot in the kitchen through the glass wall facing the garden, so a removable sunshade would help.
For what you pay, I’d look around before booking. The house is very expensive for what you get, and the basics really are bare bones. The kitchen feels cramped and not especially comfortable; the large back window has no curtain to make the space feel cosy. There’s also a door code system that can be shut off, leaving you locked out, so make sure you get all the codes before arriving.
Everything was well kept and the place is very clean, with good facilities for cooking, laundry, parking and wifi. It worked well for our family or a group of friends. A cab is only about a 10 minute call away, and the city centre is a 15 minute drive. The community was very good too.
The house itself is nice, but there were eight of us and only one small two-seat sofa in the living room. The bathrooms and toilets hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the towels weren’t fresh. Even the water glasses smelled like eggs. I’d also suggest putting single beds in some of the rooms.
