Travelodge Leicester Central

Michelle at reception gave helpful advice and service. My room was clean and well maintained, and both the evening meal and buffet breakfast were very good. Everything went well on my visit, and I’d definitely stay here again when I’m in Leicester.

The only real plus is the central location. There’s a musty smell throughout the hotel, like weed and other things, and the hallways are dirty. The rooms are very basic and barely clean. The staff are extremely rude and unwelcoming, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was tidy and clean, and the staff were welcoming. Security is on duty in the lobby after 10pm. It’s cheap and cheerful, though being close to major roads and the nightclub area could make it noisy.

We stayed for one weekend night so I could attend a family event, and I was there with my mum. The best part was being close to the town centre, the event, and St.Margaret coach station, about a 10-minute walk away. The room was very basic, with no amenities. The towels were marked and the mugs chipped, and the sink overflowed, so we had to wait for the water to drain before the next person could use it. Walking through the corridors after check-in, we could smell smoke and weed. The lift was dirty and wet, and at night it was very noisy, with the casino next door and nearby neighbours shouting and banging doors.
