Shilton Inn By OYO Leicester

There was a disco blasting from the room directly below the bedrooms until midnight. You could hear it and even feel it. The place was grotty and run down, with dirty, marked wallpaper peeling off, damaged walls, ceilings and woodwork, filthy mugs and spoons, and bed linen with marks on it. The curtains were too small for the windows, the pillow smelled of stale perfume, the bedroom light didn’t work, and the corridors stank of smoke. The shower cubicle was grim, although the shower itself had great pressure and got lovely and hot. I wouldn’t recommend it or return.

I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE! I booked two nights, but within the first 20 minutes I’d developed an allergy. The sheets had yellow pee marks all over them, there were bugs in my cup and small black ants on the bed. The bathroom stank and the TV had no signal at all. My whole body went red, itchy and warm. Wish I could give zero instead.

Free parking was a brilliant bonus, and there are shops and restaurants nearby in Earl Shilton. I had a wonderful stay at the Shilton Inn by OYO in Leicester. The staff were always smiling, polite and ready to help, and their warm approach made the trip feel special. My room was sparkling clean and cosy, a nice place to unwind, with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen telly for a comfortable stay. It’s a budget-friendly choice whether you’re in Leicester for work or fun, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

There was no hot water on the second morning, and the room wasn’t made up after the first night. The hallways were very messy. One person in our party also found their room didn’t seem to have been paid for when we arrived, and for some reason it took half an hour to pay for it. The place was a bit grotty and run down.
