The building is the real star, such a gorgeous spot. We stayed overnight after a party, and the sound of waves crashing against the walls made for the best sleep. The staff were brilliant, genuinely great people and super efficient. The food was amazing, and the bar had a great whisky selection. This is seaside Scotland at its best. Five stars.

The service was quick and everyone was so friendly. The kids got drawing supplies, and their portions were generous and good quality. The fish and chips were incredibly fresh, with locally sourced fish and batter just right. The handmade burger was tasty too, especially with the sliced gherkins. Thanks, folks! X

We had a really nice meal here. It came to about £50 per person for four adults, including a bottle of wine and a pint. The place is friendly and the food and service are great, even if it isn't polished. Eating out costs a lot these days, so it's a treat, but this was worth it. We'll go back.

The East Neuk of Fife setting is lovely. We couldn't get a walk in because the beach car park was packed, which was a shame, as it's not to be missed. There's also a nearby Pictish stone I'd like to see. We stopped for lunch: I had wild mushroom arancini, then battered haddock and chips. The haddock was really fresh and tasty. My wife had mussels and frites as her main. Great food and service, and we'll recommend it and come back as soon as we can.

Hailey and her family looked after us so well at dinner. The fish and chips my wife ordered were a hit, and I really liked the Crusoe Lager with my steak. The Flat Iron Steak was so good, as were the mushrooms, that I only used the delicious peppercorn sauce on about half of it. They're very thoughtful about allergies too, with separate fryers to avoid cross contamination. All the fish and chips are gluten free.
