We live in another Ovington, in Northumberland, and came here for a visit. It's a very small village, and we enjoyed the walk, but the pub didn't open until 5:30 pm on Saturday.

Very cosy, and well worth it if you can get a table. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and dinner was a great experience. Lovely place.

Dave the landlord gave us a really warm welcome, and the atmosphere was great. Proper home-cooked food and good real ale, too. Dogs are welcome. Highly recommend.

We were staying at Appletree Cottage in a beautiful village, and enjoyed sitting in the sunshine with a good real ale. The locals were so friendly, and it's a lovely, welcoming pub.

A friendly, family-run little pub in the village, with a cosy feel. The menu's limited, but the food is good and the portions decent. Check the website for opening times before setting off. Photos to follow!
