We spent five nights at The Old Town Hall and had a superb stay. Louise and David gave us a warm, attentive welcome and showed us to the Wensleydale Suite. It was spacious, spotless and beautifully furnished, with a separate sitting room, a double jacuzzi bath and a separate double shower. The bedding and fittings were luxurious. There was a fridge with complimentary items, plus fresh biscuits each day. Downstairs, lemon drizzle cake and a big pot of Yorkshire Tea were waiting in the lounge. Breakfast was plentiful, hot, delicious and cooked to order. The menu had a huge choice, and the quality of the local produce really came through. David makes the bread on site each morning, and it's amazing. Their homemade jams and marmalades were superb too. The Redmire Village Pub is a two-minute walk away. The staff and locals always made us welcome, and the food was outstanding. The location also makes a great base for touring The Yorkshire Dale's. Hawes, The Wensleydale Creamery, Leyburn, Tennants Auction House, Richmond, Easby, Castle Bolton, Thirsk, Kirby Stephen, Swalesdale Moors, Buttertubs Pass, Muker and Aysgarth Falls are all easy drives, among other places. David is happy to suggest places and has maps and routes for local sights. We'd highly recommend this outstanding B&B. You won't be disappointed. Many thanks.

David and Louise are wonderful hosts, with plenty of local knowledge and a website full of ideas for places to visit, walk and eat. They made us feel welcome from check-in, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The village and surrounding area are lovely, with plenty to do. This is one of the best B&Bs we've stayed in, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you both so much!

The heat during our stay was intense, and David and Louise tried hard to keep us comfortable and cool. They even gave us fresh tea and the most beautiful banana bread we've ever eaten when we arrived. Our bedroom was spotless, beautifully decorated and had lots of tasteful little treats. Breakfast was all local produce, cooked and presented beautifully by the immaculate hosts. It was so filling we needed a nap afterwards! The B&B is close to a wonderful pub and an easy walk from Castle Bolton. Elaine and I had a fabulous break, and David and Louise were perfect hosts who knew the area well and happily advised us on routes and places to see. Don't hesitate to book, we couldn't recommend it enough!

The Wensleydale suite had lovely wooden beams, a spacious bathroom, and was set up so comfortably and practically that we had everything we needed. David and Louise made our stay feel genuinely well cared for, with a level of cleanliness, service, and attention to detail I haven't come across in a B&B before. Breakfast was exceptional, and do try the marmalade they make on site. Old Town Hall is well worth a stay if you're visiting the area, or even if you're not.

We've been coming back for more than 16 years, and we're already looking forward to next year. David and Louise are warm, friendly hosts who know the local area inside out. The rooms and facilities are fantastic, and breakfast has a legendary range of choices. Their homemade cakes and biscuits are a lovely extra.
