Charnock Farm

The grounds were lovely for portraits, with the lake and open fields giving us plenty of different spots. We even got golden hour light for the last photos of the day. I photographed a wedding at Charnock Farm and found the team welcoming and helpful, so everything ran smoothly. The barn has loads of character, with exposed beams and rustic details, and it looks so inviting in photos, especially with the details couples bring along. It’s a lovely balance of rustic charm and elegance, and I’d be happy to come back to photograph there.

Breakfast at the cafe overlooking the Lake was tasty and so peaceful. The pub food was simple, but done really well. Staff were friendly, considerate and good at their jobs. It’s a great place for a wedding or party, and I’d definitely recommend the location. A real credit to the Manager.

We were there after a funeral this time, and it was lovely to sit outside in the sunshine. As before, the staff were superb and the food was excellent. Great service and everything was organised so well. A lovely place, highly recommended.

We had a comfortable, clean room with a cosy feel, and the bed was especially comfortable. Nice touches like the complimentary tea and coffee were appreciated. The grounds are peaceful, with countryside views and a charming pond area. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were quick and easy. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, which was a real plus. The food was fresh, nicely prepared and there was a good choice. Charnock Farm Hotel has a nice mix of comfort and character. I’d happily stay again, whether for a short break, an event or a stop on the way through.
