I came to Devon hoping to try the original cream tea, without knowing much about Torquay. The sea and sky were beautiful, but what I remember most is how warmly our hosts treated us. Anthony greeted me at the door with a smile and checked during my stay that I was comfortable. He was gentle and very well mannered. Pauline shared thoughtful travel tips that helped me make better use of my time. Breakfast was a lovely start to each day, with yoghurt made from their own rhubarb and plums, different breads, and some special dishes. My room was cosy and comfortable, and the bathroom was modern. Torquay may not be much of a sightseeing destination, but I’ll remember it fondly because of this B&B. Many thanks indeed. South Korean couple, students from London.

Pauline and Anthony are what make Court Prior so fabulous. They’ve created and maintained a beautiful B&B, and came out to greet us as soon as we drove up. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay. The Victorian house has been beautifully restored and was immaculate throughout. Our bedroom was nicely decorated and a really good size. And the breakfast was fantastic! You might find cheaper B&Bs in Torquay, but I doubt you’ll find a better one or such good value. Their hosting is incredible, and they make it look effortless. If you’re staying in Torquay, I’d look no further than Court Prior.

We stayed in the suite at Court Prior for a weekend, and it was the best place we’ve stayed on any of our several yearly weekend escapes. What a beautiful house. Anthony and Pauline were amazing hosts; we’ve never felt so comfortable or well looked after. Breakfast was great, and I can highly recommend the BLT. It’s clean, friendly, and luxurious, a lovely break from the stresses of work and life. Thank you, Pauline and Anthony. We’ll be back!

We booked the luxury apartment with its own garden, which was perfect for our two Labradors. It’s a lovely place to stay and was well located for our plans while we were away. Pauline and Anthony were both friendly and welcoming. Thanks for having us.

We’re already thinking of this as our place to stay on future trips. Anthony and Pauline made us feel well looked after, and their tips for places to see and restaurants were great. The B and B is in a lovely part of Torbay, about a 7 to 10 minute walk from the seafront. Breakfast, with plenty of locally sourced produce, was the best we’ve had. Service was outstanding, and honestly there’s nothing we’d change. 10/10, highly recommend.
