We spotted the sign from the main road and decided to stop in. It’s a lovely, clean and friendly pub, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, hot, freshly cooked and delicious. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

We really enjoyed our visit today. Two of us had roast pheasant, which was excellent and very filling, while the other two guests had beef and enjoyed it too. Two very helpful ladies brought the drinks, and Arkells it's was really good. We’ll definitely visit again. Thank you, everyone at The Village Inn.

This pub feels so homely. I came with my family for a meal and had the breakfast, which was absolutely lovely. Alyx was so kind while looking after us. One of my family members is usually hard for people to understand, but Alyx understood perfectly and made everything easy. Definitely worth a visit. It even has a pool table, which lots of pubs don’t have now!

We stayed overnight with breakfast included. The room had everything we needed, and the shared bathroom was close by. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us, and breakfast was perfect. Wifi wasn’t very stable, so the TV wouldn’t work, but that wasn’t the end of the world. It’s a great little pub with a lively atmosphere, and a great little stopover. Highly recommended.
