The hotel is central and handy for visiting the city, and we found the room clean and pleasant. We ate at the Marco Pierre White restaurant and had an excellent meal, with very good staff. The cocktail bar on the top floor was fantastic too, with a beautiful view of the wharf. The downside was the carpet and floor, which were dirty and had clearly visible stains. That wasn't what I'd expect. Still, it was great value for money.

The location on picturesque Brayford Wharf is excellent, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. It's dog friendly too, so your best friend can come along. This was our second stay in a year, and I can honestly say it's the best hotel I've stayed at in the UK. Everyone was super friendly, from reception to the restaurant, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are modern and spotless, and the beds are huge and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Dawn and her team were especially keen to make our stay as good as possible, and everyone was helpful and friendly. Evie at breakfast made sure we had everything we needed. One thing to know: the function room on the fourth floor can make some rooms on the third floor very noisy. That's why I'd give the rooms three stars, even though we had a great stay in Lincoln.

I went to a Christmas event with my company and had an excellent time. The food was great, especially the cinnamon cheesecake. Harrison was very polite, funny and quick to sort out a few issues we had. His excellent service really lifted the event, and it showed how well trained the staff are. It's a great venue for events, and I'd recommend it. I'll be coming back and hope to see Harrison again.

The walk to Lincoln Cathedral and Castle is easy, with history all around, and the DoubleTree by Hilton is right by the river at Brayford Quay in the heart of Lincoln. Hayley at reception has a wonderful smile, charm and helpfulness, and the whole front desk team is friendly and attentive. The lobby is clean and airy, the lifts are fast, and the rooms are sparkling and well appointed. It's a lovely place to stay, and I highly recommend it if you're visiting Lincolnshire.
