The room was hot and there were no windows to open. The blind on a dodgy patio door wouldn't close, and the paintwork needs a good going over. The shower barely got warm. People in the room above came in at 3am, then made noise all night with their windows wide open and music on loud. Reviews mention basic breakfast food in the fridge and a communal kitchen, but there was nothing available. There was only one biscuit on the tea tray, and no sugar.

The room was clean and nice, with a soft bed and a shared kitchen, which makes it a shame I had to leave such a low rating. It was overpriced and too hot, and I couldn't get into the property because the door wouldn't open. I can't give a fair review or explain why access failed properly. I'd avoid this place.

The alarm blared for nearly an hour and a half, and it was deafening. They didn't sort it out until we called a second time. Music carried on loudly until 4:30 in the morning, and our two calls to the emergency number during a two-night stay were a waste of time. Management didn't seem bothered when we contacted them afterward. This was the worst place I've stayed in during 61 years of travel. It wasn't even cheap, and I wouldn't recommend it. Find somewhere else where you feel safe and can get help on site. Appalling money grabbers.

The way this place handles access made for a frightening stay. The hotel codes apparently aren't changed, and the bedroom doors use simplex locks, so someone who's had the codes before may be able to enter. You can't lock the rooms from inside either. If we'd been asleep when the stranger came in, it could have been even more distressing. We came back after midnight to find a stranger asleep in our bed, with our belongings still in the room. They had a booking for the next day but had been given working access codes a day early. We'd checked in after calling the service centre for the codes, locked the door, and gone out into Lincoln town centre. This was a serious breach of our safety and privacy, and we'd booked the room for that night. Support couldn't find us another room, and after calling 10 hotels in Lincoln we still had nowhere nearby to stay. We ended up sleeping in our car in December. I raised the issue formally more than a week ago, but neither Hotel management nor Booking.com has responded, and there's been no refund. This is unacceptable. It's the worst accommodation I've experienced, and the lack of response or refund says a lot about the dismal quality. Do not book here under any circumstances.
