The bedrooms are lovely, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom is great, though it’s downstairs. Decor is simple but tasteful. They’d already put the heating on, left milk in the fridge and brought out festive decorations. The place is really well located for the cathedral and castle, with the steep hill’s shops and pubs about a ten-minute walk away. I’d happily recommend it. I wondered if the back yard needed a PIR light, but there was already a light by the back door, perhaps it just needs a new bulb. 👍

The owners are great and easy to reach by call or message if you have questions. The kitchen and bedrooms are a decent size, and it’s well equipped. There’s a large bath for a proper soak, plus an overhead shower. The living room is small, but that’s what you’d expect in this kind of listed accommodation. It’s close to the Cathedral area up the hill.
