Phoenix House

The room was warm and quiet, and we slept like logs. It felt even cosier and more homely than the photos, with everything we needed, including shampoo and conditioner. The dogs outside were adorable and loved a fuss, and waking up to the smell of bacon was a treat. Chris and Irene were fine with our late Friday arrival, and made us feel very welcome. They offered to heat the pool, but it was windy and we decided to skip it since it hadn't been heated after a few days without guests. We had a lovely stay, and the reviews they’ve earned are clearly well deserved. If you have time, cycling round Thetford Forest is a great idea. See you again, Chris and Irene, Belle and Josh x

Chris even called a local restaurant to book us a table, which helped make it a lovely weekend all round. Our twin room was immaculate and very comfortable. We sat by the pool with Chris and Irene after settling in, and they made us feel completely at ease. We were greeted with a really warm welcome and offered a drink when we arrived. We hope to come back this year and definitely in the future. I'd gladly recommend the place to anyone staying while visiting Norfolk.

We were greeted when we arrived, and the hosts were a lovely couple. The rooms were lovely too. Breakfast each morning had plenty of choice, and the hot food was very nice. They suggested a nearby pub for dinner and even called to make our reservation. The surrounding area was very nice, and I'd recommend giving this guest house a try. We stayed two nights this week for work nearby, and found it very hospitable.

A lovely twin room looking out onto the garden, and it really felt like home. Chris n Irene made us comfortable straight away with tea and coffee after we arrived, then we sat by the pool. It was so rural that there was no noise, and they booked us a table at a local pub. Breakfast had something for all tastes. We'll be back hopefully this year. 5 out of 5.
