We had a private room for a birthday party, and everything went smoothly. The service was great and the food was delicious. The countryside setting is lovely, with a stunning building among woodland and gardens. Worth trying, and we'll be back.

The Snowdon suite suited us well for our four-night break, and the food was excellent. My wife and I found this a lovely, not-too-large hotel, so the service felt personal. The staff were polite and friendly. The one thing I missed was a room safe. We'd recommend this boutique hotel.

The grounds and food helped make the weekend feel like a special occasion, and the pianist on Friday and Saturday was fantastic. Horsted Place exceeded our expectations. The hotel and our room had plenty of character, were finished to a high standard, and felt very comfortable. The staff were professional, warm and extremely helpful. Thanks to everyone for a beautiful long weekend.

The staff checked the food for rapeseed oil and could tell me which dishes were safe, which I appreciated since I'm intolerant to anything containing it. When the food arrived, it was excellent. My wife and I visited the Horsted Hotel in November and were very impressed. The hotel looks amazing, the rooms were comfortable and the staff helpful. My only reservation was the awkward journey to our room: quite a trek on foot, and a strange experience taking the lift. Recommended!

We felt wonderfully looked after at Horsted, and if we come back to the area, we'd definitely stay again. It was a great base for exploring the region. One day we went to Brighton, where we really enjoyed the Royal Pavilion and a walking tour called The Brighton Story. We were advised against driving into the city because of construction and expensive parking. Instead, we drove 7 miles from Horsted Place to a car park in Lewes and took the bus, which worked out very nicely. The manor house sits on extensive grounds, reached by a lovely tree-lined lane from the main road. The staff welcomed us and helped with our luggage. We were told our room, Windsor, had been used by QEII on a previous visit. Dinner in the dining room overlooked the lawns and garden. The food was delicious and well presented, with attentive service. We enjoyed being there so much that we ate every dinner at the hotel. It felt like staying with the Lord and Lady Grantham, but without having to dress for dinner.
