East Beach Guest House

The lounge was a welcome refuge on the one day the weather turned bad. The guesthouse is an easy walk from plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants, and of course the sea, with masses of parking opposite. We loved the continental breakfasts and the comfortable, immaculate house. It was especially thoughtful to leave chocolates for the birthday boy and a delicious bottle of wine. Arriving in the middle of a cold, wet February, we really appreciated how warm and welcoming the place felt.

Richard had my parking sorted before I arrived, and once I was there he made me feel welcome straight away. He’s such a warm, bubbly host. The guest house is easy to find, with plenty of parking across the road, and you can ring the bell to call the host down. Everything was exceptionally clean, from the room and hallway to the lounge. The room was nicely fitted out with fun furniture and decor. The bathroom is small but cleverly arranged, with space for cosmetics. I slept really well in the comfortable bed, and couldn’t hear other guests once my door was shut. The lounge feels both spacious and cosy, breakfast was ready at the agreed time, and the view is lovely even on a cloudy day.

We stayed here for the second time, after our last visit in March 2022, and came back for a night away for my partner’s birthday. The hosts made it special with birthday chocolates for him and confetti on our breakfast tray. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated, and the bathroom had everything you’d need. Such a lovely guest house and lovely hosts.

We had a cosy, well-equipped king-size room for one night. It was clean, with lovely quality bedding and linen, and the little details had been thought through, from the handwritten welcome note to the fresh-smelling towels. Thanks for making our stay in Littlehampton so comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
