Premier Inn Glasgow Braehead

We went for a concert at the Hydro and had a really good stay. On arrival, a friendly receptionist asked what brought us to Glasgow, then explained the buses to the venue and how to book a direct cab for £15. We were also allowed to check in early for free. Our room was spotless, fresh and airy. The bathroom was sparkling clean, with a clear mirror and dry shower floor. There were extra pillows sealed in a bag with a hygiene tag, plus tea and coffee in the room, with replacements available at reception. Breakfast had lots of choice and you could have as much as you wanted. There’s a pub and restaurant a minute’s walk away if you fancy something different. Parking was free and plentiful. We stayed in room 218 on Saturday, 21st Feb, and liked it so much we’re planning to buy the mattress next month.

The breakfast was excellent. It’s been ages since I had soft fried eggs at a buffet, instead of those egg Frisbees. The pub across the road and the hotel’s location make getting around easy. Our room was quiet and had no light coming in from outside, though it was warmer than we’d have liked and the bar shut a bit early. The pub next door closed early too. Rooms near the lift may be noisier. Happy to recommend it.

I was working nearby on night shifts and slept really well. The room was great, as Premier Inn rooms usually are, and very quiet. The staff were welcoming. Parking can be tight if you have a van or another large vehicle, since the spaces are sized just about right for cars. For me, it was 10/10.

The tap barely had any pressure, worse than what I’ve had in a touring caravan. The restrictor on it was ridiculous, especially in Scotland where it seems to pish down constantly. Why try to save water? The room’s air conditioning was broken, and the staff were pretty miserable.
