Dakota Glasgow

I regularly come here with friends for a cigar, and the terrace is a quiet, comfortable spot with outdoor heaters that keep you warm even when it’s very cold. You can choose from their extensive in-house cigar menu or bring your own, and have food or a hot or cold drink. It’s the only real place in Glasgow to sit and enjoy a cigar. The staff are always attentive and professional, and the hotel is fantastic.

We came back for a longer stay after visiting last year and had another lovely time. The place has a warm, friendly feel, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. The food was great and the staff were always happy to help. It’s in a quiet part of Glasgow, but shops are within walking distance and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. We’ll definitely return.

Dinner at The Grill was fantastic, with every dish full of flavour and cooked just right. The service there was excellent too, and really made the stay. I spent one night at the Dakota Hotel in Glasgow, where my room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The hotel feels welcoming and pays attention to the details. I’d happily recommend Dakota Glasgow and hope to come back.

The breakfast was a disappointing end to an otherwise brilliant stay. We waited an hour for it, and the food wasn’t great: my bacon was very well done, the mushroom was cold, and the potato scone was greasy. My husband’s scrambled eggs with smoked salmon were a bit cold too. They took the cost of our two pre-dinner cocktails off the bill for the delay. I’m guessing someone may have called in sick, since dinner service the night before was great. The room, dinner, cocktails, and outdoor terrace were all amazing.
