The parking was £12 a night, but it felt secure enough that I thought it was worth paying. Our room on the 14th floor was very dry, though I know that’s not the hotel’s fault. The staff were so lovely, the service was great, and breakfast was fresh with plenty to choose from.

We had a really nice night here after a visit to the world famous Ibrox stadium. Breakfast was tasty and fairly priced. The hotel is also handy for Ibrox, the Hydro, and lots of other Glasgow attractions.

We had lovely views of the River Clyde from our room on the 14th floor, and the furniture was really comfortable. There’s also a safe and fridge in the room. I did spot a Rowntree fruit pastel on the carpet under the table, and the bathroom door hook was wobbly. Getting here without a car is a bit awkward, but a 20-minute walk is manageable if you don’t mind it.

The room was spotless and the facilities were great, with good food as well. Mohamed at reception was especially helpful and lovely, and everyone else was attentive too. I’ll come back.

Room service was the one letdown. They quoted 20-30 minutes, but after an hour with no food I called. The person on the phone didn’t seem to understand why it hadn’t arrived or think it was a problem. It took another 20 minutes, though the food itself was good. Better updates would have helped if the kitchen was running behind. The room was clean, comfortable, and really nice, and the staff member who checked me in was friendly. One lift was out of order, which was a bit of a hassle now and then, but not a major issue. I had a good stay overall and would return.
