The hotel looks lovely and we've stayed once before. It has nice facilities, including a gym, free toiletries, and the usual tea and coffee, but this visit was poor. The people next door were loud, so we called reception at midnight and again at 2am to ask them to speak to the guests. The toilet kept dripping all night, and I could still hear it all even with earplugs in. There were stains on the pillows, and we found a false eyelash under one of them. I mentioned everything at checkout, but the woman at reception seemed uninterested and didn't even apologize. For the money and service, I won't stay here again.

On our second visit, everything went smoothly. The room was clean, comfortable and mostly quiet, and there's plenty to do nearby. Parking across the road is a great option. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice, and convenient to have on site. We also enjoyed stopping at the bar for a wee nightcap.

We slept really well, thanks to the comfy beds, and the room felt modern, clean and stylish, as if it had recently been done up. The staff were welcoming, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. The Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow is right in the city centre, with easy access to the train stations. There can be some train noise, which seems normal in a big city. The trains stopped before midnight and started again early, just as we'd expect. We thought it was excellent value for such a central Glasgow stay and would happily come back.

The breakfast was the highlight, with a great selection of hot, delicious food and a wonderful toaster. Thanks to Stephan and the team for such a friendly breakfast welcome. We were there in January and had a fantastic stay. The hotel was warm and modern, the rooms were spotless and great, and the location right beside the Clyde was brilliant.

The location worked perfectly for our plans, about a 15-20 minute walk from the gig venue. Our room was warm, comfortable and welcoming, and breakfast was lovely both mornings. The omelette bar is a must. The staff were friendly and really helpful. We had a fantastic stay and will come back.
