Maldron Hotel Glasgow City

The staff and cleanliness made for a very pleasant Valentine’s weekend at Maldron Hotel Glasgow City. Everyone was wonderful, friendly and helpful, the food was very good, and our spotless room had amazing city views. The problem was the cold at night. The thermostat wouldn't go above 23°C, yet the room felt more like 16-17°C. The team brought us a portable heater, which helped somewhat, and we appreciated them trying to sort it out. My wife has Raynaud’s and systemic sclerosis, so the cold caused her discomfort and pain. It would be great if the heating could be improved or adjusted in colder months. With that small change, the stay would have been perfect.

The twin beds on the fifth floor were spotless and comfy, and the room was very quiet overnight. The buffet breakfast had enough vegetarian choices. We stayed at the end of February to see a show at the Pavillion theatre, right across the road, and it was also easy to get to Buchanan bus station. Definitely recommend for the theatre or city centre.

Victoria at reception went above and beyond before our stay, arranging a birthday card, sweets and biscuits for my daughter's birthday. The kitchen staff even baked and decorated cupcakes with candles, and every staff member was fantastic and happy to help. The room and all the hotel areas were spotless. It's a perfect location for all Theatre's, and the train station is less than a 10 minute walk away. We'll definitely choose this hotel next time.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at the Maldron Glasgow. Staff were polite and very helpful at check-in, sorting us out when we had trouble with the check-in pod. The foyer was clean and welcoming. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable temperature, clean bedding, super comfy beds, and a safe and iron with ironing board. We slept really well, with no noise from outside or the corridors.
