The quiet setting made for a relaxing stay, and getting around was easy: there are bus stops a few hundred yards away and two train stations nearby. The staff were really helpful, even talking me through what to pick from the bar menu. Breakfast was a good buffet, though I did miss having square sausage. The room was comfortable once I figured out how the shower worked.

We booked the function room for a special occasion, and the staff looked after us really well, including bringing out a kids' menu as soon as it was clear the main menu didn't have anything my children fancied. They stayed attentive during the event too. The food was only okay, though. My steak pie tasted nice but arrived lukewarm, as if it had been sitting out, and the cheesecake was poor. Others weren't impressed with the sticky toffee either.

We only had a short stay, but I'd definitely pick this place again if I'm back in the future. The room was roomy, tidy and clean, and the staff surprised us with a lovely little welcome gift pack. Such a nice touch.

A good-value hotel close to the city, and handy for Glasgow Central. We took a taxi to Kings Theatre, which cost about £12. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The room is just right for a night or two. I skipped breakfast, but there's an M&S shop/garage next door if you want to pick up snacks.

We stayed Monday 23rd Feb 26 because I had an early hospital appointment next door. From check-in through dinner and breakfast, everything was great. Scott in the restaurant was especially helpful and a real asset. All the staff were so helpful, and we'd recommend the hotel. Thank you to everyone. Mr & Mrs Livingstone
