Liverpool’s architecture is breathtaking, and I’d recommend reading some of the city’s history before you go to get the full experience. The locals were great too, polite and easy to talk to. I had lots of good conversations, and they reminded me surprisingly of people from northern Norway. We loved the area. It was extremely quiet, at the end of a no-drive street, and easy to find once we were nearby. The three-room apartment had very good facilities, two bathrooms, one with a bathtub, and a bedroom with its own bathroom. The beds were good, and the living room and kitchen were okay. Bring your own wine opener. The place was a little tired and could use some touch-ups.
The location comes with noise from the downstairs bar on Friday and Saturday. Inside, the flat feels neglected and uncomfortable, and doesn’t live up to the listing. It looks very basic, with everything painted the same and a tired, cheap finish. The photos online are misleading. Most of the chairs are damaged, with ripped, worn fabric, even if the frames are intact. The sofa is almost impossible to sit on because you sink right in with no support. The TV doesn’t work properly. Bedding is poor too: the duvet cover is about three times the size of the duvet, so it doesn’t fit and looks awful. The duvet itself is very thin and small, not suitable for winter, and the pillows are uneven and uncomfortable. The dishwasher smells bad when opened, as if it hasn’t been cleaned or maintained properly. I also had to chase the host for check-in details. When they finally arrived, the tone was patronising, with warnings about extra charges for entering before 3pm instead of a welcome or helpful information. This wasn’t the standard advertised, and it wasn’t a pleasant stay.
The location is a huge plus, with pretty much everything you might be visiting Liverpool for right on the doorstep. It’s great value, and we’ll definitely book these apartments on our next trip. The apartment was spotless and well maintained, and communication with staff was smooth. Highly recommend. I’m not sure why people choose hotels!
Everything went perfectly, from the smooth check-in to having parking right nearby. The team was extremely helpful before we arrived, even with my hundreds of questions. We loved the apartments enough to come back for a second stay, and we’ll book again next time we’re in Liverpool. Thank you very much x
The hosts were rude and unhelpful when we brought up problems. On top of that, music from the bar downstairs played loudly until 1 am most nights, making sleep impossible. The flat is old and poorly looked after. The sofa was completely smashed, torn, sagging and unusable, and several chairs were broken. It looks nothing like the nice listing photos, which are totally misleading. Avoid if you want comfort, quiet, or basic furniture that works.
