The location puts you right beside all the action, which is great. The room itself looked nice at first, but lots of things were broken or badly fitted: handles were coming loose, the shower door was off its runner, and the bathroom tap was scalding hot at the middle setting. The beds were uncomfortable, there was no safe, and we had to use electric heaters. It could do with a general tidy-up. Our room wasn't ready for the 3pm check-in, so we waited for the cleaners. Paying the deposit was also a hassle. I tried several times, but had to wait until the day before, and they rarely answer the phone. We got one towel each for three nights, so bring your own if you need more.

Getting the key and pin codes was easy, and the apartment had plenty of useful things: a hairdryer, iron, kettle, toaster and kitchen fridge. The bed wasn't especially comfortable, and the shower swung between scalding and freezing. The street noise was the main issue. We hadn't realized how busy the street would be, with people heading home from nights out until 7am. We were there on a hectic weekend with Halloween and an LFC home game, so that may have added to it. I might stay again for the location, though the noise gives me pause. If you're out partying yourself, it could suit you perfectly.

The bathroom and kitchen had a style I liked, and the bed was comfy with a TV opposite it. Still, the kitchen was short on utensils and supplies, its plug was missing, and the bathroom plug was broken. Housekeeping also didn't replace the washing-up liquid, which seemed daft. I stayed in May, and construction noise was the biggest problem. Workers were banging and hammering on the apartments from 9AM. That's ridiculous. Do they not care about guests? They could have started later.

The apartment was spotless and right in the town centre, and the nightlife noise was what you'd expect in that spot. What bothered me more was coming back one afternoon to find every light on and the TV running, even though my partner and I were sure we'd locked the door when we left. Then at 4am we heard someone trying a key in the lock. Luckily, the apartment was locked from the inside.
