The service was excellent. I went with my daughter and nieces for a birthday brunch for me. My daughter has another allergy as well as being coeliac, so we told the staff. They passed it on to the kitchen, which closed and cleaned everything to make sure her food wasn't contaminated with nuts or gluten.

We fancied a roast and had heard this was a nice place with good food, but the meal was a disaster for me and my three friends. We waited about 40 minutes, and had to ask twice how much longer it would be. When it arrived, the cauliflower cheese was burnt, the seasonal vegetables were undercooked and rock hard, and the chicken on every plate, including mine, was visibly raw. The manager's tone appalled me. She insisted it couldn't be raw, which made us feel stupid and dismissed. We were so put off that we barely ate, and afterwards my friends and I felt unwell and were up and down being sick most of the night. It feels disgusting to serve food like that, and we basically paid to get food poisoning. I work in hospitality and don't usually complain, but when I tried to sort things out with the manager she wouldn't really listen. On top of that, I was asked if I wanted another drink, but the waitress walked off while taking the order, so I couldn't get one. I felt completely forgotten and disregarded, and it seemed like they had rushed the food out after forgetting about us. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless you want to spend the night running to the loo and throwing up from both ends.

Aimee served us a few weeks back and was so attentive and polite. I came in again today for a takeaway coffee, and she remembered me. Nadine made my coffee this time and was just as lovely.

A great spot for watersports, with fantastic facilities. Just watch where you leave your car, as the council traffic warden does hand out tickets.
