The flat itself was okay, a bit like modern student accommodation, but this was one of the worst places I've rented. Outside, there was rubbish everywhere and a burned down building next door that seemed hazardous. The surrounding streets felt almost post apocalyptic, and the local area was dreadful. There are constant electrical and water outages in the building. I think there could be an argument for condemning it. Property management did a poor job, while estate agents and landlords didn't push to fix the issues or improve living conditions. The council should have made those first two organisations do better.

It's handy for buses into town and other parts of Liverpool, though the surroundings are a bit run down. The room itself was pleasant and fitted out well, just small. A few more hooks and shelves would help. Having only two sets of dishes was sometimes annoying, and there were no teaspoons.

Getting in and out was easy, and there's a lift for your bags. The flat was clean and nice, but the area felt rough. The beds were lumpy, though the sheets and towels were lovely. The town centre is about ten minutes away, but I wouldn't walk back after dark. A taxi was only £5. I couldn't get the WiFi to work.

Our first floor studio gave us a great view of the city, and the inside was very modern despite the dated look of the building outside. We parked right out front for free with no restrictions. There's a Sainsburys about a ten minute walk down the road. Albert Dock is a 30 minute walk away, and the city centre is closer. A nice place to stay.
