Ibis Liverpool Centre Albert Dock – Liverpool One

Really nice hotel in a great spot, with comfortable beds and kind staff. I left something in my room, and Sandra G went out of her way to get it safely back to me. I'm very grateful and will definitely stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay and may come back. The staff were welcoming and let us check in early, and they arranged extra pillows and a small fan to make us more comfortable. Breakfast tasted great, although they couldn't alter a dish for our dietary needs because they serve what gets sent to them. The bed was comfortable, and we like a very firm mattress. There wasn't much noise from other guests, and hotel food is reasonably priced depending on what you order.

The accessible bathroom was one of the best I've stayed in. I'm disabled, and found it really well thought out, as good as or better than bathrooms in higher-star hotels. The rooms were very clean, and there was no loud door banging at night. The location is great, opposite the Albert Docks, with electric car charging points and plenty of parking. Breakfast has a fantastic choice, from cheeses to a full cooked meal, and it's kept hot and fresh. I like that it runs until 12 noon on Saturdays and Sundays, so guests can have a lie-in. The evening menu is extensive and the bar stays open late. This wasn't our first visit to ibis Liverpool Central Docks, and it won't be our last. Lisa and Simon from the management team were welcoming and on the ball. I saw Simon pitch in wherever needed, and everyone else, from reception and bar staff to the back-of-house team, was friendly too. I have limited mobility and felt safe waiting in the bar while my son nipped out. When I asked for tea or water, it was brought over straight away, which I really appreciated. It's a 10 out of 10 from me. We travel a lot in the UK and usually use branded hotels, and this compares with or beats many of them. Thanks for making us feel welcome.

The manager was brilliant, listened to me, and made me feel heard. The room was dirty when we arrived and wasn't acceptable for the price. The only alternative was much smaller, with hardly any room around the bed, so the manager offered to halve the cost or give a full refund. I got the full refund and moved somewhere else. They really put the customer first.
