Knowsley Inn & Lounge

There’s plenty of parking, and breakfast is good, with enough choice and everything always fine. The hotel is clean and modern throughout, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms do the job for an odd night. It’s a decent place for what the rooms cost. The location is the drawback: just off a motorway roundabout on the edge of town, with few shops or takeaways within walking distance, though there is a set of shops nearby. I didn’t see any shady characters or have any issues. Some reviews don’t reflect what I found; it’s just a normal hotel. If the price is right, don’t worry about the less positive reviews.

The room felt a bit chilly when I came in, but the fan did the job. Had a really good stay and would recommend it. The staff were super friendly, especially Liam and Laura, I think it was Laura. Ben was sound too, and they were all helpful.

The only thing I’d change is the walk-in shower. Water spills onto the bathroom floor, and the screen really needs to be a bit wider. We stayed a few miles out because the room price was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We used the hotel as a base for Liverpool v Wolves on 27th Dec, and had stayed here for an earlier match too.

The breakfast was nice and hot, well stocked, and reasonably priced. The hotel was clean, lovely, and good value, and the staff were very helpful. We’ve already decided to stay here next time we’re in Liverpool.
