After a three-night stay, I accidentally left three items of clothing hanging in the wardrobe. I didn't notice for a couple of days, then spent another two days trying to reach someone. When I finally got through, I was told they had no idea what had happened to them, and later that they were probably binned. More than a week later, I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me. Surely they could have contacted the guests in the room. The room was well equipped, but much too warm with little to no ventilation, and the bed wasn't very comfortable. It feels geared towards students and only let as hotel rooms during term time.

I lived here for 2 years and had a wonderful experience. The staff are really chill and amazing, especially Abdi, Matt, Beth and Lucy. The city views are the best, and there's something new to see every day. They also put on fun monthly events. I'd highly recommend this as a place to live while studying in Liverpool.

I've lived at IconInc for the past 3 years, and I can't think of anywhere better for my university experience. The facilities are amazing, and the weekly organised activities help students get together. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and have made living here much more enjoyable. I couldn't recommend IconInc enough. I'll treasure the experiences and lifelong friends I've made here.

After 4 months at IconInc, and comparing other Liverpool accommodation and hearing friends' experiences, it's clear to me that IconInc offers the best standard in the city. Choosing The Ascent, by IconInc, is one of the best decisions a UK student can make. 11/10. With a private apartment and no concierge, you'd have to spend time and money sorting utility bills, dealing with an estate agent, finding housemates, and arranging accommodation taxes. You'd also be moving your belongings alone and living near people you don't know, possibly in an unsafe area. It's harder to find social connections too, even though that matters when you're settling into a new city. Happy students can do their best work and get the grades they need to start their careers. At IconInc, they take care of all that and more. I also want to mention Libby, who goes above and beyond for the tenants. Staff who help with anything within reason are what make The Ascent stand out as a place for student living. Photos are of my "Elegance" room.

The rooms are nice, and I made some really good friends. The social side was pretty good, but a lot could be organised better. For the price, which is at the higher end for student accommodation, the staff should be much more professional. The ambassador programme feels a bit like a scam. They ask you to do lots of unpaid work and offer next to nothing back. Some staff weren't friendly. Beth very clearly didn't like international students, while others were stuck-up and gossiped about tenants. Some showed favouritism to particular tenants and gave them privileges. Certain events were also cancelled with little or no notice.
