Absolute joke. I booked the pool room for family and friends, left my belongings there, and went out for drinks with everyone. When we got back at around 1am, the extremely aggressive staff said my older mother and I couldn't stay with the rest of the family because, apparently, we weren't on the guest list for a 12 bed room. They told us to find another hotel, but none in the area would take bookings after midnight. It was a disastrous night, and we had to get a taxi all the way back home to Staffordshire because of the obnoxious, rude desk staff threatening to remove us.

The exit machine was out of order and sent me to reception, where a queue of more than 40 people had formed. After waiting, I finally found a staff member who said parking was free because I’d only been there 45 minutes. Getting in had already been a mess: the car park printer didn’t work, so I couldn’t get a ticket. When I called for help, they said they were opening the barrier, even though it was already open. I was trying to ask how I was supposed to pay when leaving.

We had a big group party here last week, and the rooms worked really well for us. They’re huge and can sleep up to 30 people. We’ll definitely be back soon, thanks.

If you’ve just bought a big television, you might be more comfortable sleeping in its box. There are much better places to stay in Liverpool, so keep looking.
