The Liner Hotel

The rooms are fairly ordinary, but they were clean, well kept, and had the facilities you’d expect in a standard room. There’s also a free car park next door. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly, helpful reception team, the facilities, and the hotel’s great theme. It’s close to central Liverpool, and I’d happily stay again.

The location was so convenient, beside Lime Street Station and about a 5-7 minute walk from the bus station and shops. It was good value for money, and we’d recommend the hotel and return next time we’re in Liverpool. Thanks to everyone who made our stay enjoyable. We were lucky to get upgraded to a deluxe cabin for our three-night break. It came with a bathrobe, slippers, complimentary water and cookies, and a pod coffee machine, along with the usual tea and coffee facilities and toiletries. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the complimentary items were replenished each day, unlike at some hotels. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast had a remarkable amount of good food to choose from. The woman serving did remarkably well on her own after her colleague called in sick. She kept the tables clean and topped up the food without needing to be asked.

The location’s excellent and the rooms were very clean. I don’t know who chose classic 1970s decor for the bathrooms in our deluxe cabin, but it doesn’t really matter. Would I recommend it to people I want to stay friends with? Yes.

We appreciated having a fridge in the room, and reception staff were wonderful. The room was lovely. We only stayed one night for a concert. Tea and coffee were provided, but the selection was a little lacking since there was no hot chocolate 🫣. Check-in is from 4pm, checkout is at 11am, and car parking is complimentary for 24 hours.
