The Shankly Hotel

We loved the rooftop bar, one of our favourite spots. It was relaxed, with great music and excellent staff. The samba dancers at the bottomless afternoon tea were a 10/10, lively, fun and involving. Once the alcohol and dancers came out, I don't think anyone stayed seated. As a group of girls who go to bottomless brunch often, we rated it among the best we've been to. The food was tasty and plentiful, and Sophie kept our glasses full while being polite and friendly. We were seven friends at the Shankly's presidential suite for a 40th birthday weekend. The location was brilliant, close to the station and within walking distance of everything. The whole staff team were cheerful, helpful and incredibly friendly. I'd highly recommend the hotel and can't wait to return for another girls' weekend.

The rooms were spacious and decorated really well. We had SIN, Jungle 2 and YOLO, and finding the hidden items was a fun surprise. One suggestion for Jungle 2: a full-length mirror would be a good addition. We booked three rooms for two nights at the Shankly for a hen do, with a package that included a two-course meal, cocktail class and bottomless brunch. The staff were bubbly and attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The food and drinks were excellent, and breakfast was delicious. Big thanks to Rachel and all the breakfast ladies for their help. We'll definitely be back!

There were six of us at a hen party, sharing a huge room with three Superking beds. The staff separated the beds into singles for us as soon as we arrived, no hassle at all. Everyone was friendly, and the breakfast staff were especially attentive. Breakfast was delicious, particularly the link sausages. I would have liked the option of a fried egg, though I'm sure they would have made one if I'd asked. My only complaint was the shower over the whirlpool bath. There was no rail to hold on to, and since I'd recently broken my wrist, I couldn't risk getting into the bath without support.

Molly was such a lovely welcome when we arrived. She asked how our stay was going, then came back after we’d seen the room to congratulate us and have a look at the ring. That meant a lot. My partner had booked the Shankly as an engagement surprise, and the whole team helped make it feel special. James was especially helpful and polite over email when my partner asked to change the date at the last minute. We’re really grateful to everyone.
