The Old Bakehouse

The homemade chips were gorgeous, even though I’m not usually a chips fan. My husband really liked his burger, and I loved the food too. I’d never seen such a huge steak pie! We ate here just over a week ago, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

The lamb wasn’t available, and the wine selection was limited, but neither would put me off recommending this pub. There were four of us, and we all enjoyed our tasty, generous meals. The steak and ale pie was enormous, with plenty of tender meat, and we were all too full for dessert. The atmosphere was friendly.

We came for our son’s birthday meal, our last dinner before heading home from holiday. Everything was lovely, from the welcome to the goodbye. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even bringing water and a spoon for the kids’ cuddly toys. The food was first class and really well priced. If you want a friendly pub with great food, give it a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

After a few hours on the road, we checked into our holiday rental in Llandrillo and went over to The Dudley for dinner instead of cooking. It was busy, and after experiencing the welcome, food and hospitality, I could see why. My rump steak was perfect, probably still mooing around a local field not long ago. My missus loved her Fish n Chips too. Our two dogs were welcome in certain areas, which is understandable since not everyone wants to mix with hounds. Lily and Emily were attentive, polite and incredibly efficient, even while rushed off their feet on a busy Friday evening. We’ve booked Sunday lunch and can’t wait. If you’re staying in Llandrillo or passing through, get in. Highly recommended...😎❤️
