SEREN VILLA, previously known as Ashlawn House

Our room was beautiful, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. Communication was great, and the service was thoughtful without being intrusive, which made us want to come back. My wife Angela, our little girl Bethany, and I, Rob, have just returned from our mini-break in Llandudno. We'll definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend Seren Villa to friends and family.

The location is good, but the parking arrangement was frustrating. After our host sent us away from the driveway, we had to look for a space on nearby streets. There was no sign or advance information saying the driveway was for the hosts only. We also hadn't been told we'd be in the attic, and there aren't any photos of that room on the website. The room was basically clean, but much too small for a family room. The beds and mattresses are old and very uncomfortable, and mind your head on the stairs in the hallway. The bathroom is modern and clean, but so cramped it really only suits skinny people. WiFi was extremely slow, though usable now and then. We got a brief introduction when we arrived, then didn't see our hosts for the five days. Compared with places we've stayed before, this was heavily overpriced.

The owners were incredible, so kind about answering our questions and making us feel comfortable. The house and rooms are beautifully looked after, and it's four blocks from the station. A lovely place to stay while enjoying Llandudno. Highly recommended!

We had such a lovely view from the bedroom windows, and the location was great. It took us less than minutes to walk from the train station. The management were kind and helpful too. We'd definitely stay here again.
